After making Cillian Murphy an Oscar nominee with 28 Days Later, Danny Boyle and Alex Garland returned for its sequel 28 Years Later with Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson Ralph Fiennes, and Jack O’Connell as its stars.

The movie takes place 30 years after the outbreak of Rage Virus in London and follows a family living outside London to avoid contact with infected individuals.

Jodie Comer

Jodie Comer quickly rose to stardom when she played Villanelle, a psychopath assassin in BBC America spy thriller television series Killing Eve from 2018-2022). For this role, she won both a BAFTA TV Award and Primetime Emmy nomination, as well as garnering accolades as Sarah in Channel 4 drama Help, earning another BAFTA TV Award nomination.

Since Killing Eve ended, Comer has demonstrated her impressively diverse acting range. Comer was among an all-star British cast that included Cillian Murphy, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ralph Fiennes and Jack O’Connell in Director Danny Boyle’s much-awaited sequel to 28 Days Later called 28 Cast of 28 Months Later which went into production in April 2020 and finished filming six months later in June 2024. Aaron Taylor-Johnson

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is a British stage and film actor, photographer, and painter. Born in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and of English-Russian Jewish descent. Best known for playing young John Lennon in Sam Taylor-Wood’s 2009 movie Nowhere Boy; since then he has made appearances in other films; most notably Oliver Stone’s Tolstoy adaptation Anna Karenina (2012) playing Vronsky to Keira Knightley as Vronsky.

In 2025, Cillian Murphy will star in Danny Boyle’s post-apocalyptic horror film 28 Years Later. It is directed by Danny Boyle from a screenplay co-written with Alex Garland. Its first trailer has already become one of the most-viewed horror trailers ever, showing survivors on a small island fighting off an emerging strain of infected. Cillian Murphy stars alongside Jodie Comer Ralph Fiennes Jack O’Connell and Erin Kellyman in this flick.

Taylor-Johnson is well known for his film work but also demonstrates strong family commitment. Married to actress and director Sam Taylor-Wood and father to four daughters together, he advocates living life on your terms without fearing to express himself openly – even dubbing himself a “badass”.

Taylor-Johnson and Taylor first met while filming Nowhere Boy, where Taylor-Johnson played young John Lennon. From there on out they have worked closely on multiple projects together – such as Nocturnal Animals for which Taylor-Johnson won a Golden Globe Award for his performance.

Ralph Fiennes

Ralph Fiennes is best-known for his stage performances as Shakespeare’s Hamlet and major film franchise roles, earning numerous awards. Additionally, Fiennes is an esteemed director – his debut was with Coriolanus (2011) which garnered both critical acclaim and over $1 billion at the box office.

Fiennes was trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and first found success both onstage and television, debuting his first big screen role as Juliette Binoche’s love interest in 1992 historical drama Wuthering Heights starring opposite Juliette Binoche. However, he achieved international recognition following its 1993 release with Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List where his character Amon Goeth earned both critical and commercial praise – earning numerous awards including BAFTA Award nominations including Best Supporting Actor award nominations.

Fiennes made his filmmaking return with Luca Guadagnino’s biographical drama Rudolf Nureyev: The White Crow, playing Rudolf Nureyev’s dance instructor. This performance earned Fiennes multiple award nominations including both BAFTA and Academy awards nominations.

As a director, he continued making notable films such as Maid in Manhattan (2002) and critically-acclaimed thriller The Constant Gardener (2005) as well as dramatic works like The Reader (2008) and Kathryn Bigelow’s Oscar-winning The Hurt Locker (2010), where his dynamic performances as two mentally disturbed characters earned him BAFTA and Saturn Award nominations.

Fiennes’ final performances included portraying Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter film series from 2005-2011 alongside stars Tom Riddle and Emma Watson. Additionally, Fiennes has played M since 2012’s Skyfall release.

Fiennes’ recent filmography includes horror flick The Woman in Black (2016) and animated comedy Holmes and Watson (2019). He will next voice Alfred Pennyworth from DC Comics for live-action reboot in The Lego Batman Movie (2021). Additionally, Fiennes currently stars as lead in HBO television series The White Queen, adapted from Philippa Gregory’s historical novel of same name.

Erin Kellyman

Danny Boyle and Alex Garland, following the success of 28 Days Later and its sequel 28 Weeks Later, are joining forces once more for another trilogy of post-apocalyptic horror films. The first film will be called 28 Years Later and directed by Boyle from a script written by Garland; cast members include Jodie Comer, Jack O’Connell, Ralph Fiennes and Aaron Taylor-Johnson; recently, Erin Kellyman joined their ranks from Disney’s Solo: A Star Wars Story as well as Marvel Cinematic Universe miniseries The Falcon and Winter Soldier & Willow!

Kellyman was born October 17th 1998 in Tamworth, England to Irish and Jamaican descent. She attended Rawlett School before continuing her education at Television Workshop Nottinham where she graduated in 2016. Kellyman has featured in various small screen projects like Raised by Wolves and The Coopers Vs before rising to fame after playing Enfys Nest from Solo: A Star Wars Story as well as Karli Morgenthau from Marvel Cinematic Universe series The Falcon and Winter Soldier.

She will join Cillian Murphy as Jim in 28 Years Later, the sequel to 2002 film of the same name. There will also be an installment called 28 Months Later before an eventual third film is released.

Sony Pictures plans to release this film in June 2025 as the first in their planned trilogy of post-apocalyptic horror flicks directed by Nia DaCosta and featuring Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes and Jack O’Connell as key cast members.

Kellyman will also feature as Eponine Thenardier in BBC’s adaptation of Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables novel and Karli Morgenthau from Marvel Cinematic universe – adding yet more acting credits to her long list. She is quickly becoming one of the rising stars within Hollywood.

Kellyman has many fans that are eager to see her in the movie. Her role will no doubt impress many viewers and leave an indelible mark in people’s memories. Kellyman is currently represented by agents Oriana E, Shauna P, and Yale J, having worked previously with Amie Yavor.
